Picture Perfect by Alessandra Thomas Blog Tour! (Review)

Image
***WARNING***This Book contains Adult Content not intended for under 17 years olds!!***   Yay! So excited to be a part of the Picture Perfect Blog Tour today!! Picture Perfect by Alessandra Thomas was released this past Tuesday! From Goodreads : Fashion design major Cat Mitchell has a closet full of gorgeous clothes - and not a single thing fits. After two years of runway modeling for easy cash, an accident shattered her lower leg bone and her self-esteem in just one swift fall. Ten months of no exercise, prescription steroids, comfort eating and yoga pants meant returning to campus as a size twelve instead of her former size two. When her gorgeous long-time friend with benefits sees her for the first time after her accident and snubs her in front of all her friends, Cat’s self-image hits rock bottom. Her sorority sisters all insist that she looks gorgeous, but all Cat sees is the roll of her stomach when she sits down, or the dimpling at the back of her thighs

Wanderlust Blog Tour! (Guest Post)

Hello Everyone! :) Today I'd like to welcome Elieba Levine! :) She's been awesome, and made a guest post for all of us! :) She's hear celebrating the release of her book Wanderlust !! :) So please welcome Elieba!! As far back as I can remember I always wanted to travel the world.  Exotic places, different clothing, unknown smells, foreign languages forever intrigued me, and still do. As soon as I got the opportunity I left the U.S. to see the world and all the places I had dreamed of. I was away for six months and they were the happiest and most interesting six months of my life. Upon my return, lunching with my editor in New York I  described the many intriguing moments of my trip.  She suggested that I use my travels and experiences as a backdrop to an erotic novel.  I agreed and that is how Wanderlust came to be written. The book sold so well that two other books followed.....Interludes and Escapes. Therefore the trip became a success in many areas of my life, an

The Cassandra Clare Experience that I ALMOST Missed!! (PLUS INTERNATIONAL GIVEAWAY!!!)

Hey Everyone! Can I just say I had one of the most amazing nights Friday night!! So rewind.... Let's start from the beginning... Once upon a time my fabulous mom and I went on a little road trip.  We left at 1:00 p.m. the house, with directions in hand that told us it would take about 2 hrs. and 20 minutes to get there. Well, thanks to the beautiful view of Los Angeles traffic, and the most crappy directions EVER, it took almost SIX hours to get there!!!!!!!!!! No freaking joke!!! Mapquest SKIPPED a step on the directions so we ended up going on the wrong freeway, and getting over an hour off track!! Thanks to wonderful lady at A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe , who had the technology needed to actually travel, not just paper directions, we were able to find our way back on track!! The event was supposed to start at 6 p.m., and we didn't arrive at the Mission Viejo Library until almost 7. When my mom and I drove into the parking lot of the library, do you know wha

Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire Blog Tour (ARC Review)

Image
So let me just begin by saying I'm sooooooooo darn excited right now!!! Why?? Well, I'm a stop on the Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire Blog Tour!!!!!!!! Yay!!! So I received Walking Disaster a few weeks ago in the mail, and wow!  I seriously pretty much ate that book alive! From Goodreads : Finally, the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster. Can you love someone too much? Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder. In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees. Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes. My Thoughts: So first off, it's been almost two years since I read Beautiful Disaster (if you don't believe me, go HERE! )!  I read it when it was st

Stardust Summer by Lauren Clark Blog Tour (Review)

Image
Hello Everyone! Today I'm part of the Stardust Summer Blog Tour ! :) Stardust Summer is Lauren Clark's latest book! :) From Goodreads :   Single mom Grace Mason doesn’t believe in miracles, magic, or love at first sight. She likes the quiet life, complete with her eight-year-old son, their tiny house, and her teaching job. For Grace, happiness means that nothing much ever changes in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Then, one thousand miles away, tragedy strikes. A massive heart attack leaves Grace’s estranged father comatose in an Upstate New York hospital. While a team of doctors fight to keep Henry Mason alive, Grace and Evan rush to his bedside to say their final goodbyes. Henry’s passing brings little closure for Grace, but she finds herself inexplicably drawn to her new surroundings. What begins as a short trip results in an entire summer spent with Henry’s second wife, Kathleen, and her next-door neighbor, Ryan Gordon, the town doctor. When a series o

Requiem (#3 in the Delirium Trilogy) by Lauren Oliver (ARC Review)

Image
***WARNING *** WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FROM PREVIOUS BOOKS IN SERIES, AND POSSIBLY THIS ONE!!!*** Thanks to Epic Reads I won an ARC of Requiem for watching the Lauren Oliver chat a few weeks ago!  From Goodreads : They have tried to squeeze us out, to stamp us into the past . But we are still here. And there are more of us every day . Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight. After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life

"The Secret World of Alaina Downs" Blog Tour! (Interview)

Image
Hey Everyone!! So today I'm part of The Secret World of Alaina Downs by Rebecca Rynecki Blog Tour!! :) And to help spread the world on this awesome sounding book, I'm excited to present you all with an interview with Rebecca Rynecki!! :) The Romance Bookie: Tell us a bit about "The Secret World of Alaina Downs". Rebecca Rynecki: The Secret World of Alaina Downs is a bit of a parody. A serious parody, but none nevertheless. It takes stereotypical aspects of fantasy and romance and uh some bluntness in there for good measure. Alaina is not a take charge heroine who knows exactly what to do when she falls into the world of Isleen, but rather makes a lot of mistakes. TRB:   How do you come up with the idea for the story? Did you have any inspirations? RR: This story came about from my love of stories of going into other worlds, except I wanted to add realistic reactions to being in said worlds. My general inspirations were Wonderland and Narnia

Music Tuesday #62/63

Image
Hey Everyone! :) Sorry I missed Music Tuesday last week! So I'm taking a History of Pop and Rock Music class this semester, and because right now we are listening a lot of 50-60s music, I've been listening like crazy to a ton of artists from that time that my grandmother introduced me to years ago! :) So here are a couple of great songs! :) Be My Baby by The Ronettes was also featured in the 80s movie Dirty Dancing ! :) Surfin' USA by The Beach Boys, so okay my grandma did not introduce me to this band, but because I live in California and in one of the places mentioned in this song, I just can't help but love it! :) Happy Tuesday Everyone! :) The Romance Bookie

Cruisin' by Sarah Mlynowski (Short Story) Review

Image
From Goodreads : From the critically acclaimed author of Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have) and the Magic in Manhattan series comes a fun short story about taking the plunge on the high seas, where not everything is what it seems. Kristin is ready to take the next step. . . . The only problem is she hasn't found the right guy to take it with her. That's why she agreed to go on the ominously named Cruise to Nowhere with her best friend, Liz. There are plenty of cute guys on the ship to choose from if only Kristin can work up the nerve—and stop worrying about the reports in the tabloids that passengers on cruises have been mysteriously disappearing and that someone suspects it has to do with . . . vampires. My Thoughts:   I read Sarah M lynowski's Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't Have) in December of 2 011, and thoroughly enjoyed it! So when I saw Sarah came out wi th a short story via HarperTeen, and it was only 99 cents on
